Gene Gelgelu is the executive director for African Economic Development Solutions (AEDS), which “builds wealth within communities of Black heritage through our economic development activities.” Their work includes business development services for individuals, and now includes the new Little Africa project, funded in part by a new award from the Knight Green Line Challenge.
Gene joins host Steve Boland for a conversation about the importance of engaging community in place-making work, how nonprofits can support business development, the value of cultural corridors, and much more. Gene also discusses the value of all of aligned organizations working together. Visit their partner page for a full list of all these great organizations.
